Racing Queensland announced a new greyhound incentive scheme that commenced on January 1, 2012.

The Racing Queensland Incentive Scheme (RQIS) is introduced as a result of necessary improvements to the distribution of prizemoney within the greyhound racing industry.

RQIS replaced the Q-Dog scheme which ceased on December 31, 2011.

In its first year of operation, RQIS will offer financial exposure from bonuses of $610,500 and will benefit the connections of eligible greyhounds from the commencement of their racing career until 32 months of age.
