Not sure what to do for Melbourne Cup day?
Why not head down to the Capalaba Greyhound Centre, who will be conducting a non-TAB meeting on Melbourne Cup Day.
Owners and trainers are invited to support this straight track meeting on Tuesday afternoon, November 6
Admission to the track is $6 for adults and $4 for pensioners while children's admission is free.
Once again, there will be a hotly contested fashions on the field for both the ladies and gentlemen, and if last year's winners are anything to go by, the standard is quite high.
The club will be running the canteen and a sausage sizzle for when you need a snack or you need to step away from the eight big screen tvs that will be airing all the action at Flemington.
Gates will open at 9:30am and the day will wrap up approximately at 5pm.
And for that little bit of extra entertainment, the club will run raffles and sweepstakes throughout the day so keep your eye out for them.
So come on out to Capalaba for Melbourne Cup day and enjoy greyhound racing at its very best.
